In their profile, members can store a Home Mailing Address and/or Work Mailing Address. When creating a report, you may notice a column for Preferred Mailing Address, which allows each person to specify if they prefer to receive mail from you at home or at work. What is the difference between a member's Address and Preferred Mailing Address?
The Preferred Mailing Address is not a separate set of address fields for the member to fill out, but is a preference that pulls existing address data from the member's profile. Depending on the member's selection, the data is pulled from their Home Mailing Address or Work Mailing Address.
In the example pictured below, the member has indicated Home Mailing Address as their "Preferred Mailing Address". Note how both columns in the report (outlined in red) show identical data to reflect this choice. This information can be accessed in a Member Mailing Addresses report, or an All Transactions report:
Members have the ability to set their preference when editing their profile or completing the enrolment flow (pictured below), while an admin may also make changes under the Basic Info tab of a member's profile:
