For any number of reasons, you may find that you switch the payment provider that you have integrated with your SilkStart network. After you have signed up for your account with your new payment provider, there are a couple simple steps you must follow within SilkStart.
- Ensure your payment provider is supported by SilkStart (What payment gateways can I use with SilkStart?)
- Remove your old payment provider and connect your new provider. Note that each payment provider requires a slightly different process for setting up here.
- Since recurring billing subscriptions cannot be migrated between payment providers, you may want to terminate any recurring billing profiles within the old payment provider admin panel. Although you may manage data from two payment providers, this is not recommended*.
*If you terminate the recurring billing subscription for a user within your old provider, SilkStart will not receive the IPN message from your payment provider and expire the user. This user will be notified of the expiration and will be prompted to setup their billing within your new provider.
