How is the expiry date calculated?
Your members' expiry dates are calculated based on the terms of their membership plans. Plans can be renewed monthly, annually, or on a certain date. Monthly and annual plans have additional options for plan expiry dates: plans can expire on the date of signup, or on the first day or last day of the month.
Members who subscribe through a company plan are subject to their company's expiry date.
What happens on an expiry date?
On a member's expiry date, a few changes are made to the member's account:
- Their status is changed to Expired
- They no longer have access to member benefits provided through your SilkStart page.
- A renewal reminder notice will show at the top of all SilkStart pages while they are logged in.
- Their account remains present in your system, and the member is still able to log in to their account.
These changes remain until the person renews their membership. If they renew before their expiry date, or if they have set up automatic renewal on their account, the member will not experience any changes to their account on their expiry date.
