Why can I access my SilkStart website from two different domains?

When a SilkStart website is first created, it is accessed using its default SilkStart domain (ie. www.yoursite.silkstart.com). This URL can be used at any time to access your SilkStart website. 

Many clients also choose to use a custom domain name for their SilkStart website (ie. www.yoursite.org). When this is set up, it means that visitors can use your custom domain name to access your SilkStart website.

Is there a difference between the two domains? 

Both domains will show the exact same content, and you can make website edits through either domain!

For example, if my default SilkStart domain is www.yoursite.silkstart.com, and my custom domain is www.yoursite.org, I can use either URL to access my SilkStart website, though I may choose to advertise my organization using my custom domain.
