SilkStart allows you to invoice for many different types of purchases through your admin panel.
- Event ticket:
Sign a member up for an event that you're hosting. SilkStart will allow you to invoice for any ticket type associated with an event in your database, meaning that you can bypass the price, access, or other requirements for registration (eg. to waive the ticket fee for your sponsors or extend the members-only ticket price to a prospective member). You can choose to email the member their invoice for advance payment, or not email them the invoice if you expect them to just pay at the door. - Membership:
Sign a member up for any plan offered in your system. When you invoice a person or company for membership, you can also change the price and expiry date from the defaults that would be offered to the member if they self-registered. - Donation:
Log a donation to any of your fundraising campaigns. Associations often invoice members for donations when the payment will be made by cheque (eg. when a corporate member requires an invoice to have a cheque cut), or in order to log a payment that they received at an event in the SilkStart database. - Other item:
You can also generate a basic invoice for any other item through your SilkStart admin panel. SilkStart customers frequently use this option to invoice for sponsorships, textbooks, advertising costs, and more. We recommend you use this option when you want to bill a member in a way that will be logged on their profile, and the item they're purchasing doesn't need to relate to their membership status, event registration status, or the progress towards a donation goal.
