Each member is categorized by a particular status. Easily search, run reports, and track your members based upon their status in your organization.
Quickly view the membership status of your members by navigating to your SilkStart Admin Panel. Select 'People' and view the 'Membership Status' column. If you wish, you can sort your database by membership status to easily group the different types of members in your database. Alternatively, each member status is viewable by selecting an individual member and selecting the 'Details' tab.
Active: Members are active if they have a current membership plan that they've either been granted or for which they or their company have paid. This membership will have an expiry date in the future.
Contact: Members who have never had a membership plan are considered Contacts. Often, this status is used as a list of prospects. If you imported members into your SilkStart database without membership plan info, they will be listed as a 'contact' since they do not have any memberships listed in SilkStart. You may also classify some contacts as 'subscribed contacts' if they have opted to receive communications from you.
Expired: Members who have had a membership plan in the past but have had their membership lapse are considered expired. These members may still be sent renewal notices and may have renewal invoices generated.
Cancelled: Cancelled members don't receive renewal reminders or invoices.
