When creating a group you may want to start adding members rather than waiting for members to join the group first. In the same way, you may also need to remove a member from a group.
Add a member to your Group:
- Navigate to yoursite.silkstart.com/group
- Click on your group of choice
- On the group's page, click Edit from the right-hand menu
- Click the Members tab
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will find Add a user
- Begin typing the member's name, and select the desired account
- Save your changes
FAQ - I'm adding a member, but they don't appear in the group's member list!
If you add a member but notice that they do not appear in the list of group's members, this may be because they are an inactive member (ie. they do not have a membership plan). Discussion groups are primarily designed to accommodate active members. As soon as the inactive member is assigned a plan, they will appear in the list of group members.
Remove a member from your Group:
- Navigate to yoursite.silkstart.com/group
- Click on your group of choice
- On the group's page, click Edit from the right-hand menu
- Click the Members tab
- Locate the member you wish to remove, and click the red Remove button
- Confirm your action, and save the group
