SilkStart's easy-to-use content management system (CMS) allows you to build your website quickly and easily. You don't need to know HTML to make an awesome site, so don't feel overwhelmed!
Changing the Look and Feel of your entire site
Go to >Site > Look and Feel. Upload your logo, and change options like your brand colours, favicon and fonts. If you have experience with CSS or SCSS, you can continue to customize your site by creating your own styles. More on editing the look and feel of your site here.
Creating new pages
To get started, go to >Site >Custom Webpages > +Add a Page. After selecting a template, go ahead and start adding content by selecting the Edit This Page orange banner on the left side of your screen.

Building your navigation bar
To get started, go to >Site >Navigation Bar and use the drag-and-drop menu to reorder pages. Want to add a new tab to your navigation? Scroll to the base of the page and select +Add a navigation tab to bring up a selection of application pages and custom pages. When you Save & Publish a custom page, it will be accessible within this selection.

Using and creating widgets
Widgets let you repeat information over and over. SilkStart comes pre-loaded with widgets to help you share your upcoming events, highlight your recent blog posts, show your member directory and share other dynamic content easily. You can also create your own custom widgets to show text, images, embedded videos and display other content with the option to access the HTML for advanced customization.
