Not able to receive emails or notifications from your SilkStart network?
Your emails may be rejected by your email provider because of DMARC Policy (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance). If this is occurring, the ISP may have blocked the email at the gateway, preventing it from reaching your mailbox at all. When this happens you won’t receive a bounce alert or an error message from the ISP.
For example, when the SilkStart From domain is a Gmail address, Gmail may flag the message as not sending from an approved Gmail mail domain server/service (Since the message is sent through SilkStart and not through your actual Gmail inbox). Gmail does this as a security measure to restrict domain spoofing.
What is domain spoofing? You may have received an email that is clearly not from the company or person that the email implies it is from. This is likely the result of phishing or domain spoofing, where someone is attempting to "phish" personal details from you. DMARC protects your email domains from being exploited but may be denying your trustworthy messages from getting through.
What can I do? We recommend you send messages from your own domain (eg: info@domain.com where domain.com is your domain).
