Click on each sub-heading below to learn more about the different sections!
Create your first event
Choose between a Ticketed, Free, External, or Conference event. Not sure which to choose? Learn more about the different types. Tip: If your event takes place online (webinar, virtual conference, etc), check the box for 'Online Event' when adding your event's details.
Collect attendee information
Decide what information you collect from attendees when they register for an event. Please contact us if you would like to use or create custom fields for your tickets.
Customize your tickets
When editing your event, click the Settings for each ticket type to configure the following:
- Limit the purchase to members-only or members with a specific plan
- Limit the quantity of a particular ticket (per event or per attendee)
- Offer a discount code
- Offer early bird tickets
- Add General Ledger codes
Add Information Tabs
Use tabbed content to separate blocks of text for your event details. Create tabs for different sessions of a conference, sponsor notes, cancellation policies, and more.
Colour-code your calendar
If your association holds many events each month, your calendar may benefit from colourful segmentation. Event categories act as a simple visual legend to distinguish between event types such as Networking, Meetings, Virtual, or Conferences, which your members can use as search filters.
Promote your event
Choose whether to show your events in a Calendar view (yoursite.com/events) or a List/Grid view (yoursite.com/event_list) - replace "yoursite.com" with your site's domain name!
Collect event data
Before and after your event has been successfully executed, learn more about your attendees by viewing the Attendee List, Purchased Tickets List (both accessible through the settings gear wheel of your event), or creating an Event Report for export.
Need to refund an attendee who couldn’t make the event? The complete refund occurs through your payment processor, while we can ensure that the changes are reflected accurately on your member’s profile. Quick Tip: Deleting an invoice for a ticket will not remove the attendance record. Learn more.
